The Ellipsis Quintet was born in 2016 on the idea of Greek trumpet player, composer, arranger, and music producer Vasilis Nalbantis.

On their debut album " Avoid the Void", which will soon be out, Vasilis is accompanied by Tomas Lukac on electric guitar, Markus Oberleitner on bass, Lajos Tóth on piano/Rhodes/organ, and Balázs Balogh on drums. They all share some vocal parts too.

 

While people like to put labels on the music and artists, the quintet has followers in various niches, including world music, jazz, and prog-rock. The compositions and arrangements are put into a multicultural and cosmopolitan perspective - which brings diversity. New artistic concepts converse with respect to the history of all the different musical influences, as well as celebrate an unconstrained, uninhibited, and uncomplicated artistic expression. The main driving forces are the open-minded attitude of the musicians and their love for exploration which help significantly showcase what modern fusion can be.

The has played a number of successful concerts in Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia and Hungary.
