Embark on a musical journey with Areasud Electric Roots, the groundbreaking new studio album by a collective of visionary artists based in Sicily.

Born as a parallel project of the esteemed Quartetto Areasud in 2023, this dynamic ensemble led by the Palermo-based producer and composer Alfredo Giammanco transcends the boundaries of Sicilian folk & world music, and defies conventions.

Collaborating with young composer Mattia Cavallaro, the ensemble ventures into uncharted territory, infusing traditional themes with electronic elements and pushing the boundaries of improvisation.

Featuring a diverse array of guest artists, including a string quartet and Moroccan singer Said Tichiti, the album is a mesmerizing fusion of cultural influences and artistic expression. From the enchanting melodies of 'Yatir' to the hypnotic rhythms of 'Electric Roots,' each track offers a glimpse into the vibrant tapestry of Mediterranean storytelling and musical heritage.
