French artist Charley Rose blows his tenor like a messenger from another timeline — one where avant-jazz dances with Stravinsky, Ligeti whispers into Prokofiev’s ear, and rock keeps the heartbeat unsteady. His trio — with Enzo Carniel (piano sorcery) and Ariel Tessier (rhythmic acrobatics) — spins this chaos into order, then back into chaos.
Their debut on Déluge (2018) hinted at mischief; Dada Pulp (2023) confirms the madness. A soundtrack for imaginary films, parallel cities, and beautifully collapsing structures.
Crowned by Jazz Migration #7, they’ve taken their sonic experiments to stages such as Jazz à Vienne and Jazz in Marciac, and now propel this Dada-machine across Europe and Canada."
Charley Rose souffle dans son ténor comme un messager venu d’une autre temporalité — un monde où le jazz d'avant-garde danse avec Stravinsky, où Ligeti murmure à l’oreille de Prokofiev, et où le rock maintient le pouls dans un délicieux déséquilibre. Son trio — avec Enzo Carniel (sorcellerie pianistique) et Ariel Tessier (acrobaties rythmiques) — transforme ce chaos en ordre, puis cet ordre de nouveau en chaos.
Leur premier album chez Déluge (2018) laissait déjà entrevoir quelques espiègleries ; Dada Pulp (2023) confirme pleinement la folie. Une bande-son pour des films imaginaires, des villes parallèles et des structures qui s’effondrent avec élégance.
Sacré par Jazz Migration #7, le trio a porté ses expériences sonores sur des scènes telles que Jazz à Vienne et Jazz in Marciac, et propulse désormais cette machine dadaïste à travers l’Europe et le Canada.
