Ermanno Panta is a Sicilian composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist based in the Balearic Islands with a passion for poetry, folk, jazz, and flamenco. His music, and lyrics in Spanish, Catalan, Sicilian and Arabic, offer a symbolic commitment to cultural diversity, and dialogue.
His tours and travels around the world have provided Ermanno with the inspiration for an eclectic repertoire, and opportunities for various collaborations, from John McLaughlin, Froyber Maya, Gabacho Maroc, Nono García, and Paco Fernández, to Martin Melendez with whom Ermanno has an active project in duo.
With Banda Zeitun, Ermanno has produced the album "Isla Musa" (Narrator Records, 2019). They will soon release the album "Lengua de Tiera" (2023), dedicated to his adoptive island - Formentera.
«Banda Zeitun is a bridge between the many shores of the Mediterranean, especially those of southern Italy, Andalusia, the Balearic Islands and North Africa. It is a musical commitment to reinvent and rediscover ancient routes and musical expressions. "
Ermanno Panta & Band Zeitun are regularly touring, and are available live in concert across Europe with the support of Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics (IEB).
